Description
Maj. Benjamin H. Charles poses in front of a waterfall at Les Grottes de Baume-les-Messieurs. Baume-les-Messieurs, near Lons-le-Saunier, is nestled in the junction of three valleys in the Jura Mountains. There are several caves cut into the limestone flank of the cliffs. Photograph taken in March 1945.
